Here’s a shout-out to developers in Indonesia excited about the new BlackBerry Z3 smartphone! To get ready for the launch, BBDevID, our long-time developer group in Indonesia, is hosting a series of BlackBerry 10.2 SDK update events created just for developers. The BBDevID Roadshow will kick off in Bandung this Saturday, April 5, and end in Malang on April 19.
App developers attending the roadshow will join a full day event that covers the latest BlackBerry 10.2.1 Software Developer Kit (SDK), Native/Web training, as well detail information about “Built for BlackBerry” certification and benefits for developers. Built for BlackBerry-certified applications will get a special category on BlackBerry Worldwith higher visibility in BlackBerry World search. They also have the seamless performance and integrated experience that customers love.
Events will also include an Android workshop, which will provide insight on the ease of porting Android applications onto the BlackBerry 10 platform. Onsite support will also be at the event to help speed up the submission process.
After the roadshow, attendees can enter a competition by submitting their apps to BBDevID. All apps must be Built for BlackBerry approved and submitted within two weeks of respective events. Three winners will be selected based on Best Web app, Best Native app, and Best Unity app. Winners from each category will receive a BlackBerry Z10 and $500 USD.
